Multi-instrumentalist Oliver Miguel brought intimacy and a great sound to Arts Commons

Unforgettable evening!

Singer-songwriter, arranger and multi-instrumentalist Oliver Miguel performed a concert at the Engineer Theatre, Arts Commons, on September 9, 2017.

We interviewed Oliver Miguel in Spanish after the concert and he shared his dream to win a JUNO award and what he needed to do in order to make this dream a reality. It was great to see Oliver singing and mixing his Latin roots with modern sounds. Along with Oliver and special guests, the following musicians were featured:

Lisa Jacobs – Electric Bass
Luis “El Pana” Tovar – Percussion
Esteban Herrera – Keyboards

Throughout the show, Oliver was engaged with the audience. One of the songs titled “Suficientes lágrimas” was co-written with Venezuelan Juan Antoni. This song is a lament for the dire conditions in Venezuela.

Oliver Miguel next concert, The Magic of Christmas Fundraiser Concert, will be on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Engineered Air Theatre, 8 PM. BUY TICKETS:
